Seventy Weeks are Seventy Years

Seventy Weeks are seventy years
(Daniel 9:1-10:1)

Six day war not significant propheticallyThis 1/2 of Jerusalem thing has absolutely no significance related to prophecy.  The thing that is very significant is the seventy weeks in Daniel.  The proper interpretation is that this is seventy years of one week celebrations of the feast of tabernacles which when celebrated seventy times is seventy years.Gabriel Said

Like the angel told told Daniel this will result in putting away all sin and transgressions.  It is significant to know and understand this “does not”  predict the coming of the messiah as servant but as  ruler.  This is a prediction of Christ’s second coming to our generation and the time of trouble during the Day of the Lord.

Read Daniel’s Prayer

How do we [know] this?  Read what Daniel was praying for and do a study of the time in history this represents.  Daniel 9:1 says Darius the Mede had just taken over.  This means Babylon had just fallen.  This also means the seventy years Judah was decreed by God through the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah chapter twenty five had just ended.

Was Daniel’s Prayer After the End of the Seventy Years?

Read Daniel’s prayer carefully and decipher what Daniel is praying for.  Israel was getting ready to go back into Israel to repossess the land and they were scared, scared of failing and falling back into sin.

Was Daniel’s Prayer Answered?

So Daniel was praying that the nation would never ever again fall to sin, to transgression, overcoming sin once and for all forever and ever.  Daniel’s prayer was so fervent the Grabriel the archangel interrupted his praying during his prayer telling him that it was answered.

What Happened Historically?

So what happened?  Israel rebuilt the 2nd temple and was scattered again in seventy A.D.  Lets look at what the angel says to Daniel and see what he says.

Daniel 9:24-25.NIV

24 “Seventy ‘sevens’ [p] are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish [q] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. [r]

25 “Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree [s] to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, [t] the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.

Notice the angel uses these word statements.  Here they are in verse 24.

“finish transgression”

“put an end to sin”

“atone for wickedness”

“bring in everlasting righteousness”

Has Christ brought in everlasting righteousness? When we die if we were good followers of Christ we will someday be clothed in everlasting righteousness. But is everlasting here at this point right now? No, we still struggle with sin for we grow with weeds all around us. Christ hasn’t brought in everlasting righteousness by putting an end to sin yet. Christ’s followers still sin after being saved, even though thet repent of those sins. Christ’s followers still occasionally transgress their feow man and repent for Christ hasn’t finished the job yet for we still wait according to his promised 2nd coming.

“to seal up vision and prophecy”

Do we still visions and gifts in prophecy-yes!

For those of you whom are stubborn wishing to believe the accepted interpretations of all the great theologians that interpreted these scriptures before the end times and last generation started with the fulfillment of the fig tree prophecy when Israel became a nation again in 1948.  If you people will with the upmost respect answer these simple questions.  Here they are.

If Christ’s crucifixion finished transgression why do we still transgress?

If Christ’s crucifixion finished sin why do we still sin?

If Christ’s crucifixion finished wickedness why do we still have wicked christians?

If Christ’s crucifixion finished vision and prophecy why was there still some afterwards in Paul’s Epistle to the Corinthians? Check 1st Corinthians 12:27-31, 14:4. Notice also that this gift of prophecy is a different type of prophecy that old testament prophets had. This type of prophecy edifies the church and that is it. This gift encourages believers. Now read Zechariah 13:1-14:4, Zechariah 13:2-6 about the time when prophecy ends which soon coming within 9 years, even at the door. Be strong in spirit finding out how a time will soon come, even at the door, when [all] prophecy will indeed completly cease to exist. This is the time the angel was speaking of when talking to Daniel in Daniel 9:24-25.

If Christ’s crucifixion was supposed to bring in everlasting righteousness why are we still unrighteous christians?

Here are some more questions related to verse 25.

What does the angel mean it will be built in “the times of trouble?”  When are these times?  This is the time of the last generation according to Moses’ prophecy of the last generation. Psalm 90:10 clearly states the last generation will live around 70 years before final redemption and flying away. This is when God will cloth his followers by replacing their quenchable bodies with unquenchable. It is at this point that all sin will be put away, Daniel 9:24. Many preachers preach incorrectly that all sin was put away at the cross. This was not true because God’s people still sin.

When was the issuing of this decree?  1948 by America and Great Britain and the United Nations.

Did Christ come as a “ruler” or “humble servant” when he was crucified?

I am sorry if some of you are offended for this was not my intention.  It is just that I love end times prophecy so much and feel so many theologians are leading so many astray.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Comment!

I am a prolific writer and interpreter of biblical prophecy for today's generations of Christians. I also am a witness of God's soon coming judgment of the city of man, the best man could build, Babylon the Great, now known to be America, that will fall in one day, one hour as breathed through the Evangelist Apostle John, clearly described Revelation 18:1-24. I also am witness to the Beast rising in the Middle East known as Islam, whom the Antichrist will rise through, as a Beast Man, known as the 12th Mahdi, will usher in uncontrolled world nuclear proliferation as clearly described by the prophet Joel 2:1-11, breathed through John the Apostle in Revelation 9:13-21, but one of the three unholy trinity kings Beasts, two of which are men, that emerge just east of the Euphrates River, where Islam rules, also where the four Fallen Angels were released that were bound at this same Euphrates River, Revelation 9:13-21, whom were responsible for the plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that kills 1/3rd of mankind. We witnesses that support this ministry, drinking at this trough, are not prophets, but witnesses pointing to God's truth in the love letter he wrote for all mankind to see.
